All Graduate Students at Boğaziçi University are expected to formally register with the University during the announced registration period (about 4 - 7 days before classes begin). Without registration, students cannot attend courses, participate in class work, fulfill course and project requirements, or perform thesis work. Students, who remain unregistered for one semester or more, are dismissed from the graduate program and the university. Each student must satisfy the announced requirements/conditions for registration, consult with his/her academic advisor to select courses, and complete the online registration process at the Registrar's Office web site.

Please note that students, who are newly admitted to Graduate Programs (first registration), must register at an earlier date (about two weeks before general registration) than students renewing their registration.

Please note:
- Registration will not be complete unless the proposed course schedule is sent to and approved by the academic advisor.
- It is the student's responsibility to confirm whether the proposed course list and the schedule are approved by the advisor.
- Students should check their registration status during the registration period.
Otherwise, (if something is amiss or the advisor has not approved for some reason) the student may remain unregistered and may be forced to request permission for late registration period (during the Add/Drop period in the second week of classes). - Permission for late registration requires a formal application to the Institute for Graduate Studies in Science and Engineering (FBE) during the time period indicated in the academic calendar.
- Late registration fees may apply.
- Non-credit courses cannot be changed to credited courses after the Add/Drop period.
- MSc students should register for their thesis work by enrolling to the XXX690 course section of their thesis advisor (starting from the 2md semester).
- MSc students should register for their thesis work by enrolling to the XXX790 course section of their thesis advisor (after successfully passing the Qualifying Exam).
