Student Exchange Programs

Boğaziçi University has student exchange programs with more than 130 international universities. Most of these programs cover undergraduate students, however some are also directed at graduate students. Almost all exchange agreements include a tuition waiver (or students paying their ordinary tuition to their home institutions) and guidance for housing; some exchange programs (notably those under the European Erasmus Program) also provide financial support for housing and living expenses. BU students participating at an exchange program are expected to spend (usually) one semester or (in very rare cases) two semesters at the hosting institution and then transfer the credits earned there into their academic program at Boğaziçi University. Double Diploma Programs

Some Masters and PhD Programs, in cooperation with various established international universities, offer double diploma programs. Under such programs students usually satisfy the course requirements of both institutions separately, while doing a joint thesis (jointly supervised by faculty members from both institutions and defended at both institutions). BU students participating at such programs spend some of their time at the partnering institution in order to complete the course requirements of the partnering institution and to get guidance for and do part of the research regarding his/her joint thesis. Students completing such programs receive two separate diplomas from the two institutions. The Masters and PhD programs offering such double diploma programs are listed below.
